Reflexion: Digitilizing Books
Digitizing books is a good thing if you’re a student, but it would not be such a good thing if you were an author trying to sell your book. Being a student and not having to go to a library and be there for hours trying to find information on whatever topic you’re looking for, and as easy just to type in any keyword and find “THE” book is a life saver; also is less time consuming. Now that we have that point across think about an author, one who works very hard to create a book and then once you get published and start selling your books; suddenly it stops because a company decides to make your book digitalize and you won’t get a profit, it’s a bummer. If they can weight this controversy and make it balance, I think that it will work just fine; students having their lifesaver and authors being recognized and being paid. I found an article talking more about this controversial topic, the link is http://www.google.com/hostednews/afp/article/ALeqM5jwX47cmpyiEWp7aVdG5nvCnbiPwA

Hey Celida :)
ReplyDeleteI love how you put good things about digitilizing books and also bad things about it.
Its true that its not fair for the author to not get any credit at all for there work in their books.
But ... at the same time ist great for us since we dont have to waste are time in searching for a book.
In all Good job!
Yes, i agree because the author making the book is losing money and at the same time spending their own time writing the book. But google has a contract for every author that is being digitized.
