Reflexion: E-waste

Everyone use these electronic devices, but when they become obsolete do you realize were they are ending up? They are ending up in countries where day by day they work on these fields covered in e-waste trying to get what is useful in order to sell it. By doing such a thing, they are exposing their selves to harmful toxic chemicals, their putting their lives in risk; and now not only their own but their children’s lives as well. What would you feel seeing your kid in all this toxic e-waste like the child on your right?( http://stevehavas.com/Tess/?page_id=14)
These companies instead of doing a good job on “recycling” the e-waste, their sending it out and with this killing people slowly and or exposing people to their harmful chemicals. Bottom line e-waste is killing the people and the world. Can you believe: “about 25 million TVs are taken out of service yearly.” Also, “Currently, less than 20 percent of e-waste entering the solid waste stream is channeled through companies that advertise themselves as recyclers, though the number is likely to rise as states like California crack down on landfill dumping.”(http://ngm.nationalgeographic.com/2008/01/high-tech-trash/carroll-text/3)
